Design a user-friendly website for families planning vacations, offering comprehensive information on family-friendly destinations, accommodations, and activities. Accessibility and inclusion were prioritized to meet diverse family needs.
The Problem
Families face significant challenges when searching for travel websites that cater specifically to their needs. Common issues include overcrowded websites, complex booking processes, and limited content for family travel.

Process
Research & discovery
User Interviews:
Families want a one-stop platform for selecting destinations, finding reviews, safety tips, and child-friendly activities.
Personas:
Created personas to guide the platform’s design, emphasizing ease of access to family-friendly travel options.
Sitemap & User Flows:
Mapped out the site’s structure to ensure family-friendly destinations and travel tips are easily accessible. Developed user flows for finding family-specific content.
Competitors Analysis
Key learnings
Existing travel platforms lacked comprehensive family-oriented content, highlighting an opportunity to focus on family travel needs.
Visualizing the idea
Mid-Fidelity Wireframes
Developed mid-fidelity wireframes in Figma to visualize core user flows and optimize the user experience.
UI Design
Branding
I developed a logo, color scheme, typography, and reusable components to establish a consistent visual identity.
These were the first versions for the logo
High-Fidelity wireframes
Developed high-fidelity mockups to build a prototype and facilitate usability testing.
Families' needs come first
Filters on the Search Results page are designed with families in mind as they are given priority over others.
Usability Testing
Conducted testing with five users. Participants appreciated the intuitive navigation and quick, easy task completion. Feedback was used for revisions, resulting in an optimized design.
